Meet Our Principal

A message from Interim Principal, Betty Torrence

Thank you for being part of the Trotwood Preparatory and Fitness Academy family! Our school is a place where every child is seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential—academically, socially, and personally. We believe in educating the whole child and creating an environment where students feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.

At Trotwood, students benefit from both strong academics and meaningful enrichment. Our extended school day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., giving students more time to grow and thrive. Our teachers and staff are passionate about helping students succeed, and our families play a huge role in that partnership. Together, we’re building something special.

Helpful Reminders for Families
To help your child have a smooth and successful school day:

  • Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and school starts promptly at 8:00 a.m.
    • Arrivals after 8:00 a.m. are marked tardy.
  • Breakfast is served until 8:15 a.m.
    • We want every student to start the day nourished and ready to learn.
  • School uniforms are required every day.
    • If your child will be absent, please call the school office by 8:30 a.m.
    • (937) 854-4100
  • Dismissal begins at 3:45 p.m.
    • To protect instructional time, we ask that early dismissals be limited whenever possible.

Our Transition Program helps 8th graders leave Trotwood Preparatory and Fitness Academy fully prepared for high school academically, socially, and emotionally.

We guide families through applications, test prep, and interviews, helping students earn spots and scholarships at some of the top high schools in Ohio.
