Our Transition Program helps 8th graders leave Columbus Preparatory and Fitness Academy fully prepared for high school academically, socially, and emotionally.
We guide families through applications, test prep, and interviews, helping students earn spots and scholarships at some of the top high schools in Ohio.

🚒🔥 Today was an exciting day at Columbus Preparatory and Fitness Academy!
We were so excited to welcome the Columbus Fire Department, Station 12 — the “Dirty Dozen” — to our school! Our Kindergarten through 4th grade students had an amazing time learning about fire safety, answering questions, and learning what firefighters do to keep our community safe.
The students even got the chance to step inside a real fire truck and see some of the equipment firefighters use! They were engaged, asking questions, and having so much fun throughout the visit.
And the best part? 🚨 The firefighters surprised the students by beeping the horn and turning on the sirens! You should have seen the smiles and excitement! ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to Station 12 for spending time with our students and helping us teach such an important lesson.
We’ll see you again in the spring when the fire truck returns for our 5th–8th grade students! 👩🏾🚒👨🏾🚒🚒

Our 8th grade students are stepping into leadership as they run for CPFA Student Council! 🗳️👏 During a recent school assembly, our candidates had the opportunity to speak to their fellow students about their ideas, their goals, and why they believe their fellow students should vote for them. 🎤💡
And this is a school-wide election! 🗳️🐉 Every CPFA student in kindergarten through 8th grade will have the opportunity to cast their vote and have their voice heard in choosing their student council representatives. 👏❤️
At CPFA, we believe student leadership is an important part of preparing young people for their future. Giving students opportunities to speak publicly, share ideas, listen to others, make decisions, and participate in an election helps build confidence, responsibility, communication skills, teamwork, and leadership. 🌟🤝

Our Kindergarten students are building a strong foundation for reading by making books a part of their learning every single day! 📖🌟
Through daily reading, our students are learning how to retell stories, identify the author, recognize the book cover and important parts of a book, and understand the beginning, middle, and end of a story. 🧠📚
But it doesn't stop there! Our young readers are also learning to listen carefully, make connections, share their ideas, and talk about what they read. 🗣️💡

We love seeing our older students step up as leaders and share their time, knowledge, and kindness with younger peers. 💙 When students help students, they are building more than academic skills—they’re building friendships, confidence, leadership, and a stronger school family. 🥰🐉
