CPFA Fourth Grade Class Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉
Our CPFA fourth grade class celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by researching different Latin American countries and learning about their unique cultures, traditions, and contributions. Each student completed a research project that highlighted what they learned.
It was wonderful to see the students proudly share their knowledge with their classmates. They spoke with confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm, making each presentation engaging and educational. The class learned so much from one another, and we are incredibly proud of the effort and dedication each student showed throughout this project.

🔬🏗️ Science in Action in 8th Grade! 🏗️🔬
Our 8th grade students at Columbus Preparatory & Fitness Academy put the scientific method to work through an engaging hands-on engineering challenge directed by Academic Coach Mr. Dickens.
Using only marshmallows and spaghetti as structural materials, students worked collaboratively to design and build towers while applying the steps of the scientific method. From planning and testing to observing and improving their designs, students explored important concepts in engineering, problem-solving, and structural stability.
The activity challenged students to think critically, work as a team, and discover how science and creativity work hand in hand.

🏡🔢 Creative Place Value Homes in Second Grade! 🔢🏡
Our talented students in Ms. Wright’s Second Grade Class at Columbus Preparatory & Fitness Academy put their math skills and creativity on display with an exciting Place Value Home Project!
Using place value concepts, students designed unique homes where:
🏠 Hundreds = Floors
🚪 Tens = Rooms
🛁 Ones = Bathrooms
Today, each student proudly presented their project to the class, explaining how they used place value to create their home. The creativity, effort, and confidence displayed by every student were outstanding!
The entire school participated in voting on the projects submitted by each class, and we look forward to announcing the winning project soon. 🏆

🚒🔥 Today was an exciting day at Columbus Preparatory and Fitness Academy!
We were so excited to welcome the Columbus Fire Department, Station 12 — the “Dirty Dozen” — to our school! Our Kindergarten through 4th grade students had an amazing time learning about fire safety, answering questions, and learning what firefighters do to keep our community safe.
The students even got the chance to step inside a real fire truck and see some of the equipment firefighters use! They were engaged, asking questions, and having so much fun throughout the visit.
And the best part? 🚨 The firefighters surprised the students by beeping the horn and turning on the sirens! You should have seen the smiles and excitement! ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to Station 12 for spending time with our students and helping us teach such an important lesson.
We’ll see you again in the spring when the fire truck returns for our 5th–8th grade students! 👩🏾🚒👨🏾🚒🚒
