Meet Our Principal

Welcome to Columbus Performance Academy Shepard!

At Columbus Performance Academy Shepard we are committed to the education of the whole child. We strive to create and maintain an environment that supports and accommodates the needs of all students that enter our building. Our students are exposed to many enrichment opportunities that are aligned with the planning and implementation of strong academics and access to a strong fitness program.

We offer an extended school day beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. and dismissing promptly at 3:45 p.m. Our students receive 2 hours of ELA instruction, 1 ½ hours of math instruction, 1 hour of science and social studies instruction, 45 minutes of Character Education instruction, and 1 hour of fitness instruction daily; which includes Martial Arts, Tennis, and Soccer skills training.

Using this strong foundation and the dedication of our staff, students and families, Columbus Performance Academy Shepard has been recognized for the Momentum Award 2024 and as a Quality Charter School 2023-2024 by the Department of Education and Workforce.

School Reminders

  • Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. and the school day begins at 8:00 a.m. Any arrival after 8:00 a.m. will be counted as a tardy.
  • Breakfast is served until 8:15 a.m., no exceptions.
  • Students must be in school uniform every day.
  • In the event that your child will be absent from school, please report the absence to the office at 614-318-0720 by 8:30 a.m.
  • Dismissal begins at 3:45 p.m., please refrain from any early dismissals as it affects your child’s education and attendance.
