Principal's Message

 

Dear Columbus Performance Academy Families,

Columbus Performance Academy is committed to the education of the whole child. We are dedicated to planning and guiding experiences that consider individual differences and lead to intended learning outcomes.

We offer an extended school day beginning at 8:00 AM and dismissing at 4:00 PM. Our students receive 2 hours of ELA instruction, 1.5 hours of math instruction, 1 hour of social studies and science instruction, 45 minutes of Character Education, and 1 hour of fitness instruction daily; which includes soccer, tennis, and martial arts instruction and skills training. We provide free breakfast and lunch to all of our students every day.

Our students are exposed to many enrichment opportunities that are aligned with the curriculum being taught in the classroom and through our “Ready. Set. Learn! Academy” after school care program. Our program leaders create lessons that address high level thinking skills but differentiate the complexity of the assignments based on the learner’s level of understanding.

School Reminders

  • Our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. Please make sure your student is on time so they are not counted tardy.
  • Students must be in school uniform every day.
  • Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast is served until 8:15 a.m.
  • In the event that your child will be absent from school, please report the absence to the office at 614-318-0720 by 8:30 a.m.
  • If you must change your dismissal procedure, you will need to notify the office in writing by 12 PM.
  • Dismissal begins at 3:45, parents picking their child up at the end of the day will need to stay in their vehicle. We will safely bring your child out to you.
  • If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, please call the office to setup an appointment or you can email them directly.
